Lucca is a great little city in Northern Tuscany. It is not on the radar of most tourist yet so it is still quite easy to visit without tons of people around. It is completely surrounded by the 16th century city walls and fortification. It is quite enjoyable to rent a bike and bike ride on the walls. This will provide a great view of the city and the hills around it. The city is the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini the famous opera Composer.

The Roman Amphitheater

The famous oval piazza was built on the ruins of the ancient roman amphitheater and it is one of Lucca most famous spot.

The Duomo is pretty incredible. The monument to Ilaria Del Carretto is a remarkable sculpture that must be seen.
